The psychology of WoW

Post by Talonni »

This isn't anything new and I'm sure some of you have seen it before but having recently come back to playing WoW again after a long hiatus I was just reminded about some of the points that are made in this video and article. Enjoy!

I was able to do it, Creepy did it, McTucker did too, as have many others. I'm sure you'll be able to as well...one day. :)

I'm happy to be back, it is entertainment after all and if I have some free time it's either WoW or some other game, reading, watching television/movies or whatever else. Having stopped for an extended period of time though many of the tricks Blizzard does just don't work as well on me as they used to. Once you get away for a bit I think you are able to put things into perspective a little more. So yes, I still enjoy playing and it is still fun [at times] but it's lost that magical allure that it used to have. *spoiler alert* Once you realize Santa isn't real it's hard to get that excitement and magic back like you had as a little kid. Something like that any way, your mileage may vary. :)

I may have quit, but I am still totally addicted. I want to reactivate my account on a daily basis. They say it gets easier with time... I say fuck them, I want to raid!
