I have been looking at different builds for myself and I have a few suggestions based on some of the things I have read.
If you can get 50% off on the processor, I think you made the right choice in what you have linked. Overclocking this processor doesn't provide much of a boost to gaming, so the standard cooler will probably work for what you are going to be doing.

You picked a really popular case, and it has all the features I would want.

You could also look at this one which is popular with some of the high end builds

Graphics Card - I would still recommend waiting. I saw the pre-release benchmarks on the new AMD card, but I would definitely wait until 2 or 3 reliable reviews came out. The 290X is estimated to be $600-$650, maybe with a game or two included. And if it is comparable to the Titan in performance (as the leaked benchmarks suggest) then there will be big price drops on NVIDIA cards just around the corner. I agree with Allepac that NVIDIA beats AMD, but this new card from AMD has a new architecture and may end up on top.
I am looking at getting this power supply...it may not make a difference in your build, but I like this one a little better than the Rosewill
Power Supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817139021
The RAM you picked is top of the line, but if you aren't going to overclock, which I don't think would do much for you, then it is overkill. I also think you could get away with 8GB, but that would be lame - so here is the 16GB set that will probably work well for you.
RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231503
I think you could get away with a less expensive motherboard, but the one you picked is very nice. I agree with Allepac that Asus boards are top quality, and any of the Z87's should work for you (it just depends on what features you think you will need)
Mother Board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131998
SSD, I don't think you will need more than 256GB for OS, Apps, games you will be playing at any given time. The 840 Pro pretty much saturates the SATA III connection. You may even be able to get away with 128GB (256GB seems like a better buy)
SSD x 1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820147193
If you have a set budget, going with some of these less expensive parts might save you a few bucks, so you can budget for a new monitor - http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2
The important thing to remember is that the bottleneck for any gaming rig right now is the video card, so processor, RAM and SSD will get you to a certain level, but after a certain level, they won't make a significant difference in performance.
Good Luck with your build and consider posting a build log on here.

I have nothing to add to this conversation other than the fact I'm enjoying seeing Mani, Tucker, and Allepac hashing it out of the forums. Just like old times!

I'm a MAIN TANK!!!
edit: also, dat monitor... I was just going to buy a second 24", since the one I have now is pretty nice, but shit. I sometimes play games on our 27" iMac, and it is pretty amazing, so this might be something I must have.
