This dude got caught in a fly screen trying to get in to my room. Pretty lame episode of Miises' Menagerie but I've never seen a beetle grow this big.

When you got really close, his shell looked like it was made of wood. Pretty cool.

USD 25¢ coin = 24.26 mm diameter
AUD 50¢ coin = 31.65 mm diameter
the beetle was probably ~7cm or 2.75 inches.
