The Dumbest Story Ever Told.

Let me preface this by saying: in before "zomg ur a huge idiot." Don't read if you're looking for real substance, its just a fun story .

So I made a Bastion of Twilight trash run with a bunch of pugs and Anron. Decent group of people but the main characters in this tale: Mumblez, a dk tank (OS 1h frost); Haksaw, a 2h fury warrior; Me, a prot pally, and Anron a holy pally. Loot rules were MS>Free Roll. The first clear we had no epics, and a few people left, but we got others and I was pretty satisfied with speed with which we were clearing the trash. At the end of the 2nd clear people in raid start spamming Soul Blade. Could it be? Yes a Soul Blade drops! Well I was the only MS person who could use it, so it's mine right? Wrong. Immediately the dk is in raid chat yelling he is MS frost. I counter by saying he's in for MS tank (earlier he asked me if I was gonna ninja the shoulders if they dropped). The warrior posts, " I'll take it if no one else wants it."

First Mistake: I don't take it, I instead post "[Soul Blade] Roll (I think I'm the only one)"

I wonder why these people roll.... they are not MS...

Second Mistake: I don't take it. Now I am concerned that people will think I'm a ninja, and I'll be chastised in forums and trade forever.

The warrior is now sure he is MS 1handers (this took some time!), the dk is yelling at me in whispers and I'm trying to get the warrior to just give it to me. In the meantime the entire raid quits and the 4 of us are all bent over the loot trying to figure this out. Anron finally leaves for something, and I tell the dk that he will never get it. Sorry!

Third Mistake: I don't take it. It is just me and the warrior, and the dk (who stuck around).... if I just took it he would be the only one who would know and I could probably avoid the ninja stigma, but the dk would know.

Wanting this to end I simply told the warrior I would buy it off him for 2k gold. He said ok as long as I gave it to him first (Alarm bells should have been ringing), I agreed. This was perfect! I would get a Soul Blade for a huge discount and no one would think I'm a ninja! You probably know the ending to this. I give the warrior the Soul Blade and log over to my Warlock to get some gold. I return and he is no where to be found. Oops!

Moral of the Story: Don't trust pugs. Don't believe anyone who isn't in your guild. Don't be an idiot when it comes to BoE's, And take shit that is rightfully yours!

I put in a ticket just to see what would happen. Not very helpful, but he did say that dps should have priority on Soul Blade over tanks because it is itemized for dps..... funny stuff.
